Soul Sista’s – March 2018

24 Apr 2018

Our annual girl’s weekend away was initially inspired by a small group of young women who noticed a decline in teenage girls attending church. They remembered the quiet fade away that can happen during what can be a difficult age, and wondered what they could do to reconnect and form relationships. This is how Soul Sista’s was born in 2005, and it’s now found a home in Attunga, Canyonleigh, New South Wales…EVERY February.

Soul Sista’s central reason for exisiting and its continued success is the recognised need for women to connect, laugh and have fun. We all lead busy, distracting lives so a weekend of uplifting fellowship serves as a much needed time of renewal.

At Soul Sista’s we prioritise an annual weekend off to share testimonies, have some crazy fun and laugh together. This in turn creates an organic mentorship (Titus 2:4-5) in which we encourage each other, laugh with each other and remind ourselves of our promises and purpose as daughters of God.

Soul Sista’s is also found in Mount Tamborine on the Gold Coast with its first camp held in 2013. This years camp will be held on the 20-22 July in QLD so email youngies@brf.org.au and don’t miss out!

Soul Sista’s NSW will be 1-3 March 2019. So mark the date in your calendars ladies, and keep in mind this is a great camp to bring family and friends to for a gentle introduction to our church. Our ages are 15-500 and if you’ve never come, we encourage you to join us.
