What will you experience if you visit us on Sundays?

We love praising God together in song – this is a great way to start your day so be sure to arrive on time so you don’t miss out. After the singing the children go to Sunday School or Crèche if they’re still a toddler.

During this time one or two members of our church fellowship will share a short ‘before and after’ story about how Jesus came into their lives, and how that experience has changed and healed them. People are not asked in advance nor do they rehearse what they will say – it is simply their story, told from their heart.

Bible-based Ministry

Living our lives according to God’s word is a fundamental part of our life, and we enjoy hearing sound Bible-based ministry from one of our pastors or leaders.

Communion

Taking communion together is the highlight of our week, as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. We sing a hymn while the communion elements are distributed (the broken biscuit and grape juice that represent Jesus Christ’s body being broken and his blood shed for us on the cross). If you are unsure about taking the communion elements then it is quite alright to not take the communion elements when they are offered to you & just observe what is happening.

If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret… Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 1 Corinthians 14:27-29

Spiritual Voice Gifts

The next part of our meeting was a normal part of proceedings in the early Christian church but is not commonly experienced today. The spiritual voice gifts of the Holy Spirit are operated in an orderly way as directed in 1 Corinthians 14: 26 – 40 – speaking in tongues, interpretation and prophecy – which are inspired words of encouragement and direction to the church, and a sign that God is present among the people to those who know nothing about these things.

Prayer Line

Following this we have a prayer line where people are encouraged to come forward and pray with our pastors and leaders about any difficulties or needs they may have, for healing, to ask for the Holy Spirit, or to pray for others. Visitors are very welcome and encouraged to come forward for prayer.

Water Baptism

Those who indicate that they want to commit their lives to Jesus are able to be baptised in our baptism tank (by full immersion) and are encouraged to seek to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit. This is a wonderful and powerful experience and the start of a brand new overcoming life as a child of God.

Crèche and Sunday School

A crèche is usually provided for babies and toddlers during Sunday meetings. Carers are usually parents themselves and will nurture your child in a loving atmosphere.

For pre-schoolers and older, Sunday School is held during the main Sunday meeting. This is a time where kids can learn about God – what He’s done and what He can do for them. We believe in instilling in our kids a love for God and his creatures and a desire to seek Him out for themselves and learn more about his wonderful love and grace (Proverbs 22:6).

Youth Group

For those who are college age and above, ‘Youngies’ provides a support network of like-minded peers during some of the toughest times of people’s lives.

In many of our fellowships in NSW and the ACT, ‘Youngies’ get together regularly for good food, good fun and great activities. One of the highlights of the year is the National Youngies Camp, held over the Anzac Day long weekend with young people from Revival Fellowships across Australia join together for an intense weekend of Bible study, sports, music, games and meeting new people.

Prayer and Fasts

Several times a year our individual fellowships throughout NSW and the ACT gather together for a time of prayer and fasting. It was something Jesus himself did and is something we see as very important as a church but also for the individual.

Prayer and fasting means taking time out from the day to day duties and devoting ourselves to studying the Bible and spending time in prayer with each other. It is an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to minister to us and a time to make sure we are walking in the Spirit.

House-meetings

House-meetings are run in our fellowships during the week in the evening at a local home. These meetings are an outreach/bible study. The meetings go for a little over an hour in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Followed by supper & fellowship. Parents with children are encouraged to bring them.
