Soul Sistas 2021

10 May 2021

One of my favourite events of the year would have to be the Soul Sistas camp at Attunga. From the quiet cups of coffee (in a lovely little coffee shop at the camp) to the crazy games and challenges. It is a busy, but chill weekend.

The opportunities to sit and chat with other sisters abound and the Lord always manages to put you with the people you need to help/or be helped by. The testimonies we share are gold. There is just so much encouragement and support from all ages.

The location is stunning and the views magnificent (if you’re happy to take a short bush walk). It is secluded and peaceful with lots of local wildlife and a few friendly horses.

This year we didn’t get to participate in some of the ‘extra’ activities (horse riding, giant swing, zip lining etc) because of Covid restrictions, but we still had heaps of fun swimming, bushwalking, exercising/dancing with sticks (very energetic – and funny; thank you Natalie), Sumo wrestling, board games etc.

Our Saturday night ‘dress up’ theme is always lots of fun too. You’re never quite sure what’s going to happen.

On Sunday morning we joined together for our meeting under the trees, and the singing, testimonies and talks were inspiring.

I would highly recommend this yearly event to anyone wanting a blessed and fun-filled weekend.
