Salty air & daily prayer: An Easter escape to Batemans Bay

13 Apr 2026

Around 100 saints from across NSW & ACT (and beyond) gathered over the Easter weekend in stunning Batemans Bay for another blessed camp. Our hosts, the South Coast fellowship, went above and beyond to make it the recharging and edifying weekend that it was.

The ministry was inspiring, and the testimonies covered a huge range of blessings from protection and provision to miraculous physical and mental healings. The concert nights (as always) were a standout. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and welcoming, and whether you knew one person or many, there was a shared sense of unity and how quickly we all connected.

There’s just something special about the items at camp! Perhaps it’s the variety of sounds, or being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life that lets you hear the lyrics differently? Whatever it is, our cozy camp was blessed with inspiring songs from our Sydney Fijian saints, talented local South Coast musicians, and a great performance by Pst Darrell “Brumby” Griffiths, who joined us all the way from Tumut/Adelong.

With no official camp theme set, speakers and testimonies were lead by the spirit and the ministry wove beautifully together (as you’d expect).  A few highlights really struck a chord:

  •  Come! God is ready to reason with us (Isaiah 1:18)
  • We are yoked to Jesus and his burden is light  (Matt 11:28)
  • But God! (Ephesians 2:4)
  • We can only fully take hold of the power of Christ’s sacrifice when we recognise our part in it
  • We stand before Him because of what Christ has done for us, not because of what WE have done
  • God is LOVE!  (1 John 3:16, Romans 5:8)

We’ve come away feeling built up, refreshed and so deeply encouraged by our camp Kin.

What a camp 🙂
